Tuition and Financial Aid

For information about the cost of tuition and the student budget for the NYU@NUS program, please visit http://www.law.nyu.edu/depts/financialaid/nyu@nus.html.

You should receive an electronic Statement of Account showing your current indebtedness to New York University, if any, as well as any financial awards or certified loans that have been credited to your bursar account.  If you do not receive a Statement, contact the NYU Bursar’s Office to obtain one.  You may also check your Statement of Account on ALBERT.

Late Registration Fee – A US$25.00 registration fee is assessed for students whose first registration occurs on or after the first day of classes.

Please note that all payments are due to the Bursar’s Office by the first day of classes.  The Bursar’s Office will assess finance fees on any late accounts. You are responsible for making timely payment regardless of whether you receive a Statement. You may request a copy of your billing statement at any time and your statement may always be viewed online.

IMPORTANT: If your balance due is not paid in full by the first day of classes, the following will occur:

1. Graduate students will be dropped from their class schedules in upcoming terms. Although you will be able to participate in drop/add once you clear your bursar account, course availability may be limited, and the classes from which you are deregistered may be unavailable. Please note that Hold/Stops placed on your record will take a minimum of 48 hours to be removed by the University’s automated system once your balance has been paid.

2. Students who pay by credit card will be required to use PhoneCharge, a private company that will charge a 2.5% convenience fee for each transaction. Please refer to Bursar materials for additional information.

3. Continuing students may not register unless they have made full payment for all outstanding balances (tuition, fees, housing, summer tuition, summer housing, library, etc.). In the event that you have successfully registered for classes, but have arrears from a previous term, including summer, you will be deregistered and will not be permitted to matriculate for the current term. Students that make payments for financial arrears in full after the drop/add period are ineligible for registration during the current term.

If you are permitted to register because you attempted to satisfy your financial obligation to the University by means of a check or other form of payment that is subsequently dishonoured, you will have four days from the time you are notified by the University or your bank, whichever is earlier, to successfully transfer all required funds to the University. In the event you fail to meet this obligation, you will be deregistered and will not be permitted to matriculate for the current term.

Note that the following services are not provided to continuing students whose NYU Bursar accounts are unpaid:
