For any issue concerning the academic aspects of your LL.M. program, your first point of counseling should be Kristi Schwindt Ramos in the Office of Graduate Affairs. You may contact her at GraduateAffairs@juris.law.nyu.edu or visit her in Furman Hall, Suite 472.
Kristi will normally resolve all issues of the ‘what can I do’ nature in terms of the rules and regulations of the LL.M. program. Sometimes however your questions do not concern the ‘what can I do’ in terms of rules and regulations but ‘what choices would be advisable’ in terms of workload, compatibility of courses, career perspectives etc. To help address those issues, Kristi may refer you to our academic counseling team composed of Mary Holland, Caren Myers, and Irene Ayers, who teach Introduction to U.S. Law and U.S. Legal Methodology. Your first point of contact, however, should always be Kristi in the Office of Graduate Affairs in the Hauser Global Law School Program.
We also want to remind you that some issues are best resolved by the Faculty Director of the specialized program you may be in, such as corporation law, trade regulation, etc. We advise you that if you email the Faculty Director of the program with any questions, you should also copy Kristi Schwindt Ramos on such queries just in case there is a "rules and regulations" angle to your question.
