Spring 2007 Series Events

March 20, 2007: Global Legal Education
The Office of Graduate Affairs, Hauser Global Law School Program, is delighted to host a Global Round Table lunch discussion on Tuesday, March 20th at 1:00 p.m. about the challenges and opportunities of legal education in a global context.

This Round Table luncheon is intended to facilitate a discussion about legal education in students' native countries and here at NYU. What have been the strengths and weaknesses of their legal education so far? What do students think should be the direction of global legal education?

Mary Holland, Director of the U.S. Legal Methodology Program, will begin this event with a few remarks about recent assessments of legal education in the United States. Students should come prepared to make brief remarks about the legal education system in their respective home countries (or the countries where they received their first law degrees). We hope to have participants from many countries and legal specialties and to have an engaging and wide-ranging discussion.
