Why A Reunion?
The
2004-2005 academic year represented the Tenth Anniversary of the Hauser
Global Law School Program. Since its inauguration in 1995, the program has
been the leading initiative pursuing the adaptation of legal education in
the United States towards an increasingly global perspective. To celebrate
this notable occasion, Rita Hauser, class
of 1959 and New York University School of Law invited all of our current
and past Hauser Scholars from each year since the program's inception to
participate in our Hauser Reunion.
The event took place at NYU School of Law in New York City on March 5th and 6th 2005, and brought together all Hauser Scholars in addition to selected world leaders and leading academics. The Reunion included several academic panels as well as specially designed social events comprising a program aimed to bring together our Hauser Scholars and to provide a forum within which to discuss some outstanding issues on the agenda of legal professionals: international adjudication, the teaching of law, corporate professional responsibility and international terrorism. The scheduled social events complimented the academic program and allowed our scholars and guests to revel in New York City and in the company they shared over the weekend.
We encourage you to please take a few moments to browse the contents of the Hauser Reunion webpages within which you will find the full program of the event and the names and origins of our esteemed Hauser Scholars.
