
Biographical Information
Ben
Zion Eliash is Chairman of the Board of the Israel Youth and Law Program,
Member of the Israeli Board of the Advanced Legal Education Executive Committee,
and former Member of Bnei Brak City Council. He serves as an Executive
Board Member of the Keir Foundation at Tel Aviv University where he also
instructs courses in Jewish law and bioethics. He received an LL.M. and
Dr.Jur. from Hebrew University. In addition to having served as the
Gruss Professor of Talmudic Civil Law at New York University School of Law,
he has been a visiting professor at Touro College School of Law, University
of San Pablo and Temple Law School. His most recent publications include
"Body and Sould and Ownership Rights: The Jewish Perspective,"
TAU Studies in Law; and "To Leave or Not to Leave: The Good
Samaritan in Jewish Law," Saint Louis University Law Journal.
